How did the flower Baby's Breath get it's name?

Baby%26#039;s Breath got it%26#039;s name from it%26#039;s smell. It is almost a sweet, putrid smell. Some people love the smell but, as a florist, I can tell you that it get%26#039;s old quick. It is a very, very distinct smell that is only associated with this flower.

How did the flower Baby%26#039;s Breath get it%26#039;s name?
%26quot;GYPSOPHILA-Baby%26#039;s Breath is very fond of limestone soils. Its name is derived from %26quot;gupsos,%26quot; %26quot;gypsum%26quot; and %26quot;phileo,%26quot; %26quot;to love.%26quot;

It is a small and delicate flower--as delicate as a baby%26#039;s breath.
Reply:Thats only its common name . Many plants can be called by it
