Baby gift / baby shower gift? need new ideas?

im looking for a new idea of what to make for a baby gift for a shower. ive done a nappy cake, bunch of socks and baby clothes (bunch of flowers) and gift baskets/hampers. has anyone got any other ideas of what i can do. i enjoyed making the sock bouquets... is there anything i can do similar but in a different shape! i like unusual so all ideas welcome

my girlfriend bought a bunch of cloths for my daughter and put them on a cloths line with cloths pins and then laid them in a tall hamper with a note on the end of the line that said %26quot;pull slowly%26quot; It was amazing! She went way over board and the line stretched about 50 feet long. It was the hit of our shower. So our gift was a cute pink hamper and a ton of cloths. I am not a fan of the diaper cakes because we didn%26#039;t like the diapers and I ended up not using them at all.
Reply:I%26#039;m not sure what a nappy cake is, but at my shower I got a diaper cake. It had three layers, each with a different size diaper. The diapers were laid sideways and sorta spiraled around each other. Then it was tied with decorative ribbon.





It was really cool and everyone %26quot;oohed%26quot; and %26quot;aahed.%26quot;
Reply:As a parent of 2 babies, anything you can make with diapers, wipes and formula is the best gift. Sorry I can%26#039;t be more help, but those were the things I likes getting the best.
Reply:At my baby shower, one of my aunt%26#039;s made a dreamcatcher and moccasins for my daughter. I have to say it was my absolute favorite gift (I plan on putting them in a framed box now that my daughter is too big to fit in her little shoes)!





What about trying to bake cakes/snacks, or seeing what the expecting mother may have up on her registry?





I wish I had better ideas, but I%26#039;m all out atm.
